This fall we will be joining our sister church in Wasilla (Trailhead Wesleyan Church) for their Ladies’ Retreat held at Garden Gate B&B in the Valley. The cost is $100 for overnight guests or $75 if you’ll be attending the Friday night and Saturday activities/meals/events but not staying overnight. (Please note: You don’t have to call the B&B to sign up. You can just sign up here and we’ll take care of the rest!) If you need financial assistance to attend, please email firstname.lastname@example.org. We will have rides out to the event if you’d like to carpool with us.
We’ll plan to meet at the church at 5:30 and carpool out together. Friday night we’ll have dinner, a speaker, and games/free time starting at 8:30 pm. Saturday morning will start with 8:30 am breakfast, and there will be two sessions of worship/message/discussion with lunch in the middle and dinner served at 5:30 pm before heading home.
Natasha Dongell will be the guest speaker via simulcast. Here's a bit of info about her:
Natasha Dongell is an anointed pastor, worship leader, writer, and sincere woman of God who has ministered across Atlantic Canada and into the States. Natasha is a passionate wife and mother who loves organic meat, green tea, gardening, and the occasional action movie. She lives in the balance of being both sweet in personality and strong in her convictions. She’s inspired by her daught...ers, surrounding aesthetic beauty, a deep heart connection with close friends, and the everyday moments to sit or abide in the Lord’s presence. She has developed a unique writing style that poetically weaves her love for Scripture into the deep stories of her soul searching. Her desire for holistic living and empathetic heart for the downcast will stir your heart to want something more.
Natasha’s life, along with the lives of her two beautiful daughters, Roya (8) & Alea (6), took an unexpected turn when their husband / dad, Lynn Robert Erskine, unexpectedly passed away in September 2012. Her blog over the following two years, abideinmylove.blogspot.ca, walked many others through their own grieving, as she spoke openly about her intense life struggle with a God that would never let her go. In October 2014, she remarried the enthusiastic Rev. Brent Dongell who teaches and trains pastors at Southern Wesleyan University in Central, South Carolina. Natasha (and their daughters) await permission to cross the border as their immigration process into the States moves forward.
Brent and Natasha’s new life together is both redemptive and inspirational, and continues to speak of God’s relentless love, (natashadongell.com). You will be blessed to experience firsthand how her life’s testimony, true talent, and genuine beauty have yet to be fully realized as she ministers and still has so much to bring to the Body of Christ both locally and around the world.
The deadline to secure your spot is October 7th. If you’re ready to sign up now, go ahead and complete the form below! To pay for your registration, go to the donate tab, select one-time donation, and list Women’s Retreat in the designation.
